RCC and pre-engineered buildings can trade at similar rates, and clear height is what separates them, so verify it on site. Approvals and Compliance for Warehouses in Andhra Pradesh
Approvals in Andhra Pradesh changed in 2025, and a lease signed now should reflect the new route. With the agricultural land conversion Act repealed by ordinance that September, the permitted use of a plot is settled through the urban development authority and the town planning rules for the area, such as the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority around the port city. For an existing godown, the practical check is a building permission that matches the structure on site and names the current owner. Inside an APIIC industrial park, the allotment governs use, and any sublease needs the corporation's consent. Fire safety sits with the State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department. Smaller godowns can fall below the size that needs a fire NOC, so ask which rule applies to the building before relying on the absence of one.
